    Exceptional

Easy to find, comfortable beds, clean bathroom and shower

    Fabulous

I found it to be a very satisfactory hotel with very friendly staff. I would consider that staying here would be more for business purposes rather than a holiday since the hotel does not offer any leisure facilities and there are no amenities closeby. However, it is excellent value for money and the breakfast is wonderful with an exceptionally wide- ranging choice. I would definitely stay here again if in the area..

    Superb

Location ideal for a break, or traveling through (overnight stay.) Staff very friendly & helpful. Large car park, with disabled parking close to hotel entrance

    Very good

This hotel is set back from the main road, therefore the bedrooms are lovely and quiet - providing no functions are on in the rooms downstairs!Never the less it was a comfortable visit

The hotel interior is now in need of refurbishment. Some of the paintwork is extremely 'well-worn'.

Excellent location for stop-over on journey to the SW. Comfy beds, clean room. Restaurant/bar staff friendly and appeared to be working hard. Nice out-look from our room at the back of the hotel (nice touch to have key to access outside area from room. Guess that would have been priceless in recent hot weather). Breakfast available until 12 unusual but what a good idea!

Big let down here. No one on Reception when we arrived (fair enough was middle of the afternoon). Pressed bell for attention and was eventually greeted by person who we later learnt to be the manager. Clearly we had 'dragged' that person away from far more important tasks and considered themselves to be too important to cover Reception. Hello and/or good afternoon might not have gone amiss rather than the 'what you want' glare. 'Person' was unable to find our booking - as we had only booked on-line that morning and were therefore too late for the 'day list'. Inference was that we weren't booked in at all. Did eventually spot us, written in ink, on the top of the list, but no apology followed. Had clearly become flustered by this and omitted to tell us about breakfast times or wish us a nice stay. Suggestion: maybe a bit of customer service training in the management sector. What a shame. First point of contact important in any organisation.

    Exceptional

I have had the opportunity to travel worldwide and stayed in many classes of hotels, but I have not, till now, had such a excellent overall experience. It was my partners 50th birthday, to which the staff pulled out all the stops and made it an extremely memorable day.ALL Members of staff were very friendly, welcoming, and efficient. It is rare not to discover that one or two members fo staff are just going through the motions of their job and would obviously perfere to be somewhere else, this fact I did not find here at all. I feel I must commend certain staff for their kindness, efforts and hardwork. Sophie, Amber, Adam and I didnt manage to catch the name of the assistant manager who booked us in. Keep up the excellent work, you all deserve a raise!

Friendly and welcoming staff who are genuine in making your stay as good an experience as they can

I found the pillows uncomfortably firm.

    Superb

Service and ambience was too good. Unlike other reviews i found the hotel to be very clean and well designed. A well located and designed hotel for a family. Good value for money even though i had to book it at the last moment.I had a great holiday and enjoyed my stay. Appreciate all the staff of the hotel for the service all through the stay.

    Very good

Rooms reasonable size, great breakfast and good location (on way to Poole Ferry Terrminal).

Stayed on a Friday evening and there was obviously a wedding party also staying that night. The restaurant/bar was very busy although we did find a table for the 4 of us in the bar (the restaurant was full). The beds seemed quite short to my family - my husband is over 6 feet tall and his feet came way over the end of the bed.

    Fabulous

Easy location, friendly staff. Very helpful considering the powercut, and they did their best to help in the situation. The serving staff at breakfast attended to our needs in a friendly and ploite way, the food was hot, and tasty, and there was a large selection from the buffet section all in all, we would come back again!

The rooms were not insulated enough against noisy guests.

    Fabulous

The Hotel and Staff were friendly enough and done a good job. The breakfast was very nice. The Rooms could of done with a face lift. And i thought expensive we had to pay £99. per room

    Fabulous

Good location, lovely clean room very well appointed. Good breakfast - a very pleasant stay. Spacious car park.

Rooms at the back where we were were very quiet with lovely outlook onto countryside. Rooms at the front I imagine would be noisy with a very busy motorway in front.
