Everything! Freindly hepfull staff. Lovely room, quiet, good view from window onto countryside, with patio outside french windows. Places to stroll from hotel. Good choice menu in restaurant, very reasonably priced. Even did breakfast for us at 5am! Will definately stay there again
Couldnt fault it
Friendly, accomodating staff, inoffensive food and clean and tidy environment.
Unfortunately we had to attend a funeral in Bournemouth
We felt it looked a bit tired and could do with a coat of paint.
Location was ideal for by stay, the room was clean and comfortable and very good breakfast with helpful friendly staff
The friendliness of staff was lovely and the service in the restaurant was fantastic. Food was excellent, both at dinner and breakfast. Room was comfortable with the helpful additions of hairdryer, iron, ironing board etc.
The only thing that could be improved was the painted ceiling over the bath which was badly peeling and hanging down. Apart from that though the room was of good standard.
We had a family room with a double and single bed. The beds were very comfortable, the room was very clean and the bed linen looked fresh and pristine. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was handy for us because we were going to a surprise birthday party
When we signed in at reception and gave our credit card we were told that there were putting more money on our credit card just in case we wanted any extras eg drinks etc,so we said ok,when we went to check out next morning we had being charge a extra £20 when we quierd this there said it was the price of the room,it was a good job we had printed of my details,so I had proof of the orignal price, just be careful.
Close to where we were going
cobwebs in toilet, paint flaking from ceiling in bathroom, underside of toilet seat stained and disgusting.this is because the cleaning staff never lift the seat when they clean.
Staff were very friendly. Restaurant prices were very reasonable. The hotel sat within plenty of well kept grounds. Having a patio room, it was lovely to open the curtains and see the wild rabbits running around.
Decor was very tired especially in corridors. Room servicing was a bit hit and miss so no tip left. One evening, locals sat at the bar and loudly used the f word. Nothing was done about it. Drink prices too high.
We were given a quiet room away from the busy road and a large comfortable bedroom with an excellent king-size bed. the hotel is conveniently located alongside the A31 and we found the staff to be friendly and pleasant if a little rushed at times.
Comfortable accommodation, Excellent food and menu and very good value for money. Lovely gardens to the rear.
Bedrooms very tired looking and in need of redecoration.
Access to the garden from our room, as we had a dog with us. Also the food was very nice and most of the staff were lovely.
The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, dust in the corners of the floor and cobwebs behind the door. Also the supervisor or manager(not sure which?) was not very friendly and quite rude to a number of customers who were waiting to be served. They were very busy, but that was no excuse and she should have been front of house helping out.
The staff were friendly, and the room was reasonably quiet. The location is quite good, as it didn't take long to get to the New Forest National Park. There was a wedding on the Saturday, but we didn't hear any noise from it. The only noise we heard was from people coming back to their rooms late in the evening.
It's looking a bit tired and could do with a lick of a paint. Our bathroom had lots of long black hairs on the floor when we arrived, although it was generally clean. We paid £69 for Friday night, £95 for Saturday night and £65 for Sunday night. In my opinion, it is worth paying £60 to £70 per night for this hotel, but for £90 to £100 you could get something better.
Clean and comfortable room and delightful pation f nowhere to walk so felt a bit marooned, but fine as a short stay.Disappointed with evening meal; my meal of chicken breast in sauce was very much overcooked and the vegeables were unrecognisable. My husband's fish was overcooked too. We chose the two for one option but the bill stated individual meals and deducted an amount. It should, l believe, have stated two meals at £9.50 plus £1 for the chicked meal. We were very tired and the restaurant was busy so we did not bother to question the bill. Breakfast was fine and the waitress was very friendly and polite.
As previously explained. Mainly location.
I have stayed there before and knew the standard it was good value for money.
